Scott Bairstow has been a photographer for over 25 years.

​

While studying his art for five years at college Scott became a freelance photographer supplying local and national press with news pictures. This led to a job offer working as a staff photographer for his local newspaper the Barnsley Chronicle. While working for the newspaper Scott created Scott Bairstow Photography on a part time basis photographing weddings, portraits, events and public relations.

 

After 22 wonderful years at the newspaper photographing everything from golden weddings to Royal Family members and with major changes in the newspaper industry Scott decided to take his photography business full time in 2016.

Wedding: Over the years Scott Bairstow Photography has photographed thousands of weddings up and down the country. "When I started photographing weddings back in the 90's everything was very posed, I used to believe that the couple wasn't actually getting married, it was more like a photoshoot which would take up all of their day. When the reportage style came along I quickly jumped on board, I much preferred watching the couple enjoy their wedding day and recording all the tears and laughter with my camera!
